As of 9 something PM EST on 02/05/2022, my updated site has been live. I was hemming and hawing about it because I'm a nervous Ned, and I don't do well with these things. Anyway, the new site has a shop, great contact me page, a listing of books available and what's coming soon. Everything under coming soon is either being worked on or will be worked on. Seriously. I haven't started anything new, and I'm really trying to get at least a full length book out in 2022 along with either my serial or my new novella series.
To celebrate the newly redone site, all my books are pay what you want through my website. I want to see how this goes, so go nuts people and report any problems you come across. Taking on sales myself is going to be an experiment because I've decided to cut out the middle men, but this also means I've taken on a lot other responsibilities such as refunds, customer service, and so on and so forth. I'm hoping the juice is worth the squeeze because a lot of these sites are getting out of hand with their fees. With this approach, I'm only dealing with the payment processing and my e-store fees. As I said, we'll see how it goes and I'll make tweaks along the way.
There is a section on the website for donations to my author journey. It goes through PayPal. Again, I wanted to minimize the number of middle men involved, so I'm taking it on all by myself. Supporters who provide contribute to my cause on a monthly basis will be put on a special newsletter and get access to exclusive content. I'm tempted to setup like a member's only area of the website for monthly supporters, but I'm still thinking on it. I'm trying to find a way to make this easy for everyone involved.
Another call out I want to make is that I do offer signed books through my website, but it is limited to US based customer's only. I'm going to do some pricing on international shipping and see which route I want to go, but for the moment, my international readers are going to have to be patient.
Other than that, I don't believe I have any other news. Oh, the next book I format for paperback, I will also work on the Murderous Profession paperback. I'm not sure if there is a following for it, but I've been putting it off and putting it off. The cover never comes out right and it's irritating.
